What made me decide to work in the Fitness Industry: I had a baby boy in December 1988 and wanted to get fit again, I went from 9.5st to 13st in less than one year! I wanted to get fit, tone up, socialise and lose the baby weight. I started with aerobics 26 years ago and then went onto step and I just couldn’t get enough of it ... so trained to become an instructor.
Weekly Active Training Recommendations: I believe in healthy eating alongside the Interval & Core stability training incorporating the FITT principle: Frequency; Intensity; Time & Type, and to me that means at least 1 hour of aerobic/interval/cross training activity sessions, minimum three times a week to tone, shape and sculpture that body! Flexibility is key and that's where the yoga is woven into my fitness classes. My strap-line is: Life in general is all about “What you put in - is what you get out.” Finding balance between the Mind, Body and Soul is key to living and loving from one day to the next.
Favourite Activities: I have to admit I just love the magic of music and movement ... so enjoy attending the Annual International Fitness Convention, Southport Weekender, Dancing, spending quality holiday time with family and friends and totally being able to relax by having a regular full-body massage is my kinda style.
